Searching the Documentation
The Max documentation is completely indexed so it can return search results very rapidly. The results page will be familiar to anyone who has used the internet.
Using documentation search results
- Click in the Search field at the top of any documentation window and enter the text you are looking for.
- If there are any results, they will be returned organized by type.
- Click the blue link for any results that appear to be promising.
Once you enter some search text, you can also see the results for any matching filenames in the
file browser.
Opening a documentation search in the file browser
- Click in the Search field at the top of any documentation window and enter the text you are looking for.
- Click the magnifying glass icon, and choose Open Search in New File Browser from the pop-up menu.
- A new file browser window will open containing the results of your search.
