Printing a patch

Creating a visual image of your patch

You can use Max's export feature to create a visual image of your Patcher window or a portion of a patch, and then size or modify the results using your favorite image editing software.

  • Bring the Patcher Window you want to print to the front or click and drag to select a portion of your patch.
  • Choose Export image... from the File menu. A file dialog will appear to let you name your image. Images are saved in Portable Network Graphics (.png) format.

By default, Max images created with the Export Image command are saved at an image resolution of 72 DPI. You can use the Interface pane of the Max Preferences Window to change the default image resolution to 72, 96, 150 or 300 DPI.
