Signal Probe
Max lets you monitor the parts of your patch that are running at audio rates using the signal probe.
Viewing a Signal
- Position your cursor over an audio patchcord in a locked or unlocked patcher window. If the audio scheduler is running, a signal probe display will appear, showing the current signal values, along with an LED audio out indicator.
Enabling and disabling signal probing
- To enable, choose Signal Probe from the Debug menu. The menu item will have a check next to it, indicating it is enabled. To disable, select the same menu item and the check mark will disappear.
By default, signal probing is disabled when you initially launch Max. Any changes to this menu item will remain after relaunching the program.
